SelfVoice is a video exchange program to lead the participant ask a question and answer it him-/herself , aimed at creating a new context of self-reflection and -expression and facilitating a potential interaction between participants.

Each video contains 3 questions asked and answered by the participant. It is a self-dialogue, a integrated statement and contemplation without being interrupted. The additional information conveyed by the video, as well as the self-communication tool, introduces a complete context with more descriptive language information for the interaction between participants and their questions.

There is no direct contact between this self-communication and observers, but to some extent, it is much like the way we live today. We live in different ‘set’s in the high-rising apartments, intersection hardly happen in the same floor, instead, it happens in digital spaces, website / chat room / online-games / instant message and so on. The digital space is not reality, but the virtue reality bears the similarity, keeping the impact in our daily life. The traditional face-to-face communication has been transformed to a complex (multi-)digital spaces, with some kind of self-expression and mutual peeping.

Abandoning the participant’s individual traces, the program of SelfVoice attempts to redefine the subtle and interesting relationship between participants and observers.
