I find "acting" a very strange concept. In acting, one takes on a role that is not his real self. Taken literally, that would mean being aware that one's behaviour and emotions are artificially expressed; while expressing them. You are conscious of the fact that you are trying to be someone else. And yet, in order to be a convincing actor, one must be completely immersed in the role that he is playing. In other words: put yourself in a position such that you end up making that character your true self. You become that character. What are we left with then?
